Professional Wellbeing

Beyond self-care to mental strength and emotional resilience

At Nikki Butler Consulting, we are passionate about practitioners and teams having a level of mental strength and emotional resilience that optimises their practice and achieves positive client outcomes. Our transformative training is designed to provide an integration of theory and practical strategies to create lasting transformation in the lives of children, young people and their families.

Our training sessions are provided direct to your organisation, arranged with you. We also welcome combined organisational training.

Professional wellbeing is more than ‘self-care’; it requires strengthening mental fitness and emotional resilience.

Course overview

This interactive workshop is transformative, practical and aims to prevent burnout, emotional overwhelm and secondary trauma, by developing the foundations of a ‘Mental Strength Fitness Plan’. Like all fitness plans, mental strength requires a dedicated, focused and intentional plan.
.
So often support gets put in place when the symptoms of burnout become obvious, like an ‘ambulance at the bottom of the cliff’. What is needed, is for foundations of professional wellness and mental strength to be laid BEFORE emotional overwhelm.
.
This session draws on the neuroscience between the body, mind and soul and includes 4 key modules:
1. Conscious practice: Buidling intentional and reflective foundations
2. Rethinking neuroscience: Aligning body, mind, soul, emotions and actions
3. Mindful body: Embodying wellness through mindfulness
4. Connectedness: Fun, healthy connections to raise energy and motivation.
.
At the end of the session, attendees will have the foundation of an individual and holistic ‘Mental Strength Fitness Plan’ developed, ready for implementation.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the session, it is expected attendees will have increased knowledge and competency in:
  1. Understanding the impact of complex work on practitioner holistic wellbeing.
  2. Implementing strategies for strengthening holistic wellbeing, encompassing body, mind and soul.
  3. Preventing and reducing the risk of burnout, emotional overwhelm and secondary trauma.
  4. Developing Mental Strength Fitness Plans that are implemented consistently and reviewed regularly.
